Catherine van Giap
Catherine started to make mosaics shortly after moving to the Isle of Wight in 2004 with her young family.
She works predominately in stained glass, often incorporating ceramic plates mostly of a mid-century, contemporary or retro feel, where the design fits within the piece. Her years of living by the coast continues to feed into her work and she often uses folk art as inspiration. She continually strives to bring an element of individuality with her pieces, taking them in various directions within the theme and always wanting to appreciate the beauty of the glass.
Moving to Ross on Wye in 2022, she now has a studio open by appointment from where she runs weekend and weekly courses and sells her work. Commissions welcome.
