The human body in all its forms is my main interest and my artwork is a direct response to this. It is an exploration of the invisible communication between artist and model and of how we humans share our moods and feelings with one another through the subtleties of body language. I aim to catch through the inclination of the head or the tilt of a shoulders a spiritual connection to the humanity of the sitter.

Most of my sculptures are of women and they are created in my studio working with a model. I make the sculpture in clay and it is then cast in bronze resin (a technique using bronze metal powder and resin) usually in an edition of around 20, though commissions may be cast in bronze metal.

My sculptures and life drawings have been shown at numerous galleries in Wales, Bristol and the South West including the Royal West of England Academy, and my work is in many private collections. I currently tutor life classes at Brockweir in the Wye Valley.
